Grailed cut its commission for smaller sales in May 2026, and most fee guides haven't caught up. If you're pricing streetwear or designer resale off an old 9% figure, your maths is wrong on anything under $120.

The short answer: Grailed takes 6% under $120 and 9% at $120 and above, plus 3.49% + $0.49 processing. On a $100 sale that's $9.98 against eBay's $14.00.

Two things that quietly cost you money on Grailed.
1. Not onboarding with Stripe. If you're in a Stripe-supported country but haven't onboarded, processing jumps to 3.49% + $0.99 — an extra $0.50 on every single sale.
2. Not using a Grailed Label. Commission is charged on item price + buyer-paid shipping unless you use a Grailed Label, in which case it's item price only. The label isn't just convenience — it's a fee reducer.

The May 2026 change

Grailed moved to a two-tier commission on 20 May 2026: 6% (minimum $1.99) on sales under $120, and 9% at $120 and above. Guides still quoting a flat 9% are overstating the cost of every sub-$120 sale — which, for most sellers, is most sales.

Verdict: For streetwear, designer and hyped fashion under $120, Grailed is meaningfully cheaper and puts you in front of buyers who came specifically to shop that. Above $120 the gap closes to about a point. Everything outside fashion — and anything where sell-through matters more than a few points of fee — still belongs on eBay.

Fees aren't the whole story
